Childs Gallery was established in 1937 in Boston’s Back Bay and holds an extensive inventory of paintings, prints, drawings, watercolors, and sculpture - focusing on fine American and European artwork, dating from the Renaissance through Contemporary. To that end, our clients can choose prints and drawings that range from Old Masters like Rembrandt, Goya, and Piranesi, to Whistler and all the 20th century notables, along with superb paintings and sculpture from the past 200 years. Our inventory emphasizes women artists of the last century, mid-20th century American Modernism, Abstract Expressionism, Boston Expressionism, Social and Magic Realism, queer artists, and other important genres and movements.
