Jan Johnson, Old Master & Modern Prints

My selection here serves as an introduction to the range of prints I carry. From the late 15th to the early 20th  century, they may be intimate or monumental, allegorical or documentary, pious or funny. I like prints that capture something out of the ordinary, whether in the freshness or quality of the impression or a particular originality in the printmaking style or composition. The insights into other worlds and periods afforded by the Old Masters are a continuing source of pleasure for me. I have been dealing in them for over forty years now in both London and Quebec, while showing at numerous print fairs, and my prints have found a home in many international museums as well as private collections.
