Kelly's newest work emphasises the contrast between black against white, dark against light. The artist's black brush strokes are bold, against a background of thickly-woven kozo paper which he has left white to bring out the rich texture of the paper and highlight the animated faces and movement of the children's parade. Kelly's works are included in the permanent collections of the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, and MOMA NY among others.
