Published in 1970, Le Goût du Bonheur was a portfolio of prints produced using an inventive technique that incorporated the very materials Picasso himself favoured, rather than traditional printing inks. Grease crayon, lithographic tusche, pencil and charcoal were layered together to achieve a richly textured, highly expressive surface.
