This poster promoted an exhibition translated – Painters Witnesses of Their Time at the Musée Galliera in Paris in 1956. The image is Jacqueline with Flowers, 1954. Jacqueline Roque was Picasso’s second wife and his final, most prolific muse. They met in 1953 at a pottery studio in Vallauris; he was 72, and she was 27. They married in 1961.
Their relationship was defined by an intense, reclusive devotion. After marrying in 1961, Jacqueline became the gatekeeper to his private life, often isolating him from his children and former lovers to ensure he could focus entirely on his work. In return, Picasso immortalised her like no other woman in his life, creating over 400 portraits of her—more than any of his previous muses. She remained by his side until his death in 1973, famously describing him as her "sun." Tragically, unable to cope with his loss, she took her own life in 1986.

The poster edition was limited to 2,000 Editions, this is very rare 'Avant La Lettre' Edition.
