Unique print. Kim Minuti is drawn to the inconsequential, overlooked elements and details in the crossover spaces between our urban and natural environments. Often embracing abstract compositions in contrast with elements collected and used directly from nature, encourages the potential open to chance. She chooses not to create editions and much of the work remains as unique, one-off pieces.
Recent work uses screen printed layers of saturated and translucent shapes to explore the weight and shifting mood of colour - echoed by our urban and natural spaces. Collecting a series of found or displaced materials to expose directly to the screen, the works capture an interplay between a suggestion of three-dimensional form creating tension with blocks of colour.
