The Médecins du Monde program provides access to free medical care worldwide. Roy Lichtenstein, along with numerous other artists, created a work to support this aid organization. Between 1994 and 2000, the works from this project were exhibited worldwide. Other participating artists include Louise Bourgeois, Eduardo Chillida, Alex Katz, Robert Rauschenberg, Antoni Tàpies, Bernar Venet, and Tom Wesselmann.
