The first image of a motorcycle. A French cartoon titled "Velocipedraisiavaporianna", 1818. The image shows the earliest prototype for a motorcycle: a hobbyhorse cycle with a steam engine attached, described as a "steam-driven velocipede." It was invented in Germany, but tested in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris on April 5, 1818.
