Gen Paul first exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and the Salons des Indépendants in 1920. In 1926 he had a one-man exhibition at Galerie Bing. In 1928 his works were exhibited alongside Picasso, Rouault and Chaïm Soutine. In late 1920s he was represented by the Parisian gallery Bernheim-Jeune.
