The association "Salon des peintres témoins de leur temps" was founded by Isis Kischka along with art critic Jean Cassou and curator Yvon Bizardel. Their first exhibition, held in 1951, featured works by Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, Raoul Dufy, and Moïse Kisling.
