- In her practice, Liudmila Krutikova creates dialogues between different media and ways of depicting space. Continuously experimenting between ceramics and printmaking, she devises an approach to depicting 3-dimensionality in two dimensions. The series ‘Paper Sculpture’ speaks to Krutikova’s professional training as a sculptor. Her ceramic works often feature complex shapes with multifaceted, geometric surfaces. This passion meets the intaglio etching medium, allowing Krutikova to go beyond the realm of ordinary forms to depict shapes twisting together with no beginning or end.
