This print is taken from the original painting of the same name; a series of works created at La Fabrique in southern France in 2015. The painting, which measures 102cm x 102cm (40" x 40") was photographed using a Nikon 810 at the highest resolution possible. The digital file was then split into eight levels of grey, and a screen made for each. The print is created by layering translucent blacks to create depth, and finished with a final layer of enamel ink to mirror the original painting, which is enamel on canvas. The print achieves an incredible level of detail - the weave of the canvas is visible. Screen printed by hand onto 270gsm Mohawk Superfine in Ultrawhite Eggshell. Printed with nine colours, using eight translucent blacks and one enamel black.
