Signed in pencil and inscribed "For Patricia and Martin D~ Printed especially for them by 'le ancien', December 1947" (Martin D and Patricia are Martin Lewis' son and daughter-in-law. The artist, the elder of the two Martins, refers to himself as Le Ancien.)
