Edition of 40. Victoria Crowe has been described as ‘one of the most vital and original figurative painters currently at work in Scotland’. Her work is represented in a large number of public and private collections. She lives and works in the Scottish Borders and Venice.
Crowe created this print at Edinburgh Printmakers in 2022, inspired by the views from her home during lockdown. She reflected that focus was very important – you couldn’t go out for inspiration from some foreign land. The whole sense of the landscape and the light on the landscape changed completely, because there was no aircraft pollution. And so, the skies had an incredible vibrancy.
